Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of being on the graduation committee of Yingtao Sun for her Master thesis, βA toolkit for developing remote patient monitoring in social, daily activity and related emotionβ, together with Richard Goossens and Jiwon Jung. She developed a CRC patient journey map using a mix of data processing and user-centred method to highlight the need for more attention to social and mental health, in complement to physical health, in remote-patient monitoring of cancer survivors.
She offers Guidelines for developing remote-patient monitoring in social and daily activities and related emotions. You can also use her toolkit to explore remote-patient monitoring in different contexts.
This work is a stepping stone for our PROMISE project just starting, using Data-Centric Design methods to design supportive technologies for survivors of colorectal cancers in the long process after treatment.
